Mission accreditation successfully completed – Spezial-EMV now an ISO 17025 accredited testing laboratory!

We are delighted to have finally received accreditation as a testing laboratory in accordance with ISO 17025:2017 from the German Accreditation Body – Deutsche Akkreditierungsstelle (Dakks) with effect from 1 August 2024. Since the foundation of “Spezial-EMV” in 2021, we have committed ourselves to these working methods and have already orientated ourselves to them throughout. For us and our customers, therefore, nothing will change apart from the visible accreditation symbol on the test reports.

With a wide range of industrial, automotive, military and aerospace standards, we are now available for all enquiries with our accredited testing services.

We are particularly proud to be able to offer our customers a selected range of MIL-STD-461 and RTCA-DO 160 accredited services. Here also the radiated immunity according to EN 61000-4-3 up to 18 GHz.

Dear customers and business partners of our company,

After over 20 years of work in Perl-Sinz, we are now reflecting on our first year at the St. Ingbert campus of iMAR Navigation GmbH. In October 2022, we inaugurated our new and arguably most advanced EMC laboratory in southwestern Germany, and we are proud of what we have accomplished. You, our customers, have witnessed the significant expansion of our services, and we are particularly grateful for the trust you have placed in us with your exciting projects.

We aim to continue and expand this trusting collaboration with our team in the future. True to our motto, “Close to the product and customers“, we will further enhance our service portfolio according to your requirements, ensuring optimal testing capabilities and the best support for our customers.

Immediately following our relocation to Perl, we initiated the re-certification of our laboratory according to ISO 17025. Our pre-audit was successful, and the certification audit is scheduled shortly. Operating consistently under ISO 17025 standards ensures that there will be no change in the high-quality service you have come to expect from us.

We wish you and your colleagues a merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year in 2024. Above all, stay healthy!

Merry Christmas / One Year of Spezial-EMV GmbH (12/2021)

Dear Customers and Business Partners,

Once again this year, we hope that you, your family, and your team have managed to navigate the challenges posed by the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic well, and we wish continued good health and resilience for the future.

Reflecting on the first year of Spezial-EMV GmbH as a subsidiary of iMAR Navigation GmbH, we are particularly grateful for the trust you have placed in us with your exciting projects. We look forward to continuing and expanding this trusted collaboration with our team in the future.

Beginning our construction efforts for the new laboratory and expansion of measurement capabilities at our St. Ingbert location in September 2021 marked a significant step in the further development of our testing services. We are excited to officially open the new site in Q4/2022. Various investments at our current site in Perl-Sinz have already optimized testing processes and delivered precise measurement results, particularly through comparative tests facilitated by our new quality management system. The introduction of a new IT infrastructure, including our customer interface “LIBELLUS,” in mid-year now enables easy and secure data exchange with our clients. These initiatives will remain a focus of our efforts in the coming year.

With these thoughts, we will be entering a brief holiday break starting December 24th, 2021 and will return full-force on January 3rd, 2022, ready to serve you.

We wish you and your colleagues a joyful Christmas and a prosperous New Year 2022. Above all, we wish you continued good health!

Groundbreaking for the new laboratory building has begun (09/2021)

On September 17, 2021, under sunny skies and in the presence of over 70 colleagues from Spezial-EMV GmbH and the parent company iMAR Navigation GmbH, the groundbreaking ceremony for the new EMC hall in St. Ingbert took place on the campus of iMAR Navigation GmbH. All necessary building permits have been obtained, bureaucratic requirements fulfilled, and the first construction machinery is already on site! Despite challenges in material availability across the construction industry, our construction manager anticipates timely execution of the project due to excellent pre-planning. Thus, laboratory operations at the St. Ingbert site with enhanced infrastructure are scheduled to seamlessly continue by the end of Q3/2022.

Spezial-EMV GmbH provides an update on the current status of the new laboratory construction (03/2021)

Spezial-EMV GmbH has had a eventful and successful first quarter of 2021. On January 1st, 2021, the laboratory operations were seamlessly taken over by SGS-TÜV Saarland Forster GmbH. In a short period of time, we were able to resume our renowned service with quick response times and direct accessibility, thus continuing to serve both existing and new customers as a reliable partner. As part of this transition, a comprehensive quality initiative reviewed all procedures and measurement equipment, and a new Quality Management Handbook (QMH) based on ISO 17025:2017 was implemented. Currently, all measurements are conducted in compliance with the requirements and standards of ISO 17025:2017.

As part of our expansion and modernization efforts, in the third quarter of 2022, we will be relocating our current location in Perl-Sinz to the expanded grounds of iMAR Navigation GmbH in St. Ingbert, established in 2020. “We aim to provide our customers with optimal testing conditions and be prepared for future normative and specific requirements,” said Dipl.-Ing (FH) Sven Eric Weber, Laboratory Manager and Managing Director of Spezial-EMV GmbH.

The new building will offer approximately 550 m² of laboratory and office space, designed for quick setup times and optimal testing conditions. The centerpiece of the new facility will be two state-of-the-art absorber halls with control and amplifier rooms. Albatross Projects, a leading provider in the field of absorber halls, has collaborated with Spezial-EMV GmbH to design a tailored concept and is tasked with its implementation.

The new SAC 3 absorber hall will accommodate test specimens up to 2 x 2 m² with a load capacity of up to 2 tons. Additionally, optimized testing capabilities will be available for automotive components as well as for tests according to MIL-STD-461 (military qualification) and RTCA-DO160 (aviation qualification). A newly developed connection system for customer interfaces will complement the capabilities of the new hall, enabling HV-DC connections up to 1,000 V and 400 A.

A second SAC 3 CDC absorber hall, specifically optimized for conducted susceptibility requirements, will be connected to this hall. This setup will allow conducted emissions testing in the frequency range from 9 kHz to 18 GHz without significant setup times. A centrally located control and amplifier room will enable simultaneous operation of both halls.

A newly designed customer and conference area will facilitate direct communication with customers and provide space for conducting trainings and informational events on-site.
