Wireless

The integration of wireless modules and communication of devices plays a significant role in today’s development and conformity assessment. In most cases, already certified and conformity-assessed modules are integrated into existing or newly developed devices. This results in so-called “Combined Equipment,” which must meet a combination of wireless requirements and traditional EMC requirements. These requirements are exemplified in the EU by the Radio Equipment Directive (RED) 2014/53/EU, which serves as a higher-level directive for conformity assessment of your product. Similar requirements exist internationally with comparable normative standards (e.g., USA – FCC Part 15 C/D).
